Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Reliable Kennewick Insulation Services website and any insulation work you hire us to do. By using the site or booking a job with us, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site, and call us at (509) 396-5461 with your questions before you book.
If a signed estimate or work agreement for your job says something different from this page, the signed document controls for that job.
What we do
We're an insulation contractor in Kennewick, WA, working in homes and businesses in Kennewick and the cities around it. Our work includes attic and wall insulation, blown-in and spray foam insulation, air sealing, crawl space and basement insulation, vapor barriers and removal of old insulation. You can see the full list of services from our home page and read more about our crew on our About page.
We're fully licensed and insured. The service descriptions on this site are general, so the work we'll do at your house is the work written on your estimate.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free and done on site, and there's no pressure to book. We look at the space, check how many inches of insulation are already there, and price the job from what we actually find.
The price depends on the size of the area, the material you choose, how hard the space is to reach, how much air sealing is needed and whether old insulation has to come out first. An estimate is good for the period written on it, because material costs can change after that.
Some problems only show up once the job is open, like insulation that was soaked or full of droppings, eave vents that were buried, or wiring that needs an electrician. If we find something like that, we stop, show you and price the extra work, and we don't do it or charge for it until you approve it in writing.
Some work may need a permit from your city or county. Check with your local building office before the work starts if you're not sure.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We set a start date with you once you accept the estimate. Weather, material deliveries and earlier jobs running long can move that date, and if that happens we'll call you as soon as we know.
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to clear stored items out of the path to the attic, crawl space or wall you're having done, or to tell us ahead of time if that's a problem.
Spray foam jobs come with a re-entry time, which is how many hours people and pets need to stay out after the foam goes in. We'll give you that time before the job, based on the foam maker's instructions, and you agree to keep everyone out until it has passed.
If you need to cancel or move your date, call us as early as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered materials just for your job, you may owe for any we can't return, and we'll show you what they are. Any cancellation right that Washington law gives you still applies.
Payment
Payment is due when the work is finished unless your estimate says otherwise. Larger jobs or special-order materials may need a deposit, and if so, the amount is written on the estimate before you sign it.
Your final invoice will match the agreed price plus any extra work you approved in writing. Unpaid balances may be sent to collection as Washington law allows.
Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover
Satisfaction guaranteed. If something about our work isn't right, call us and we'll come back and make it right.
We install materials following the maker's instructions, and any product warranty comes from that maker under its own terms. We can't promise a set drop in your power bill or a certain temperature in any room, because those also depend on your heating and cooling system, your windows, your thermostat settings and the weather.
Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from roof or plumbing leaks, pests, work done later by others or changes made after we leave. Apart from what this page and your written estimate promise, the website and our services come without other warranties, as far as the law allows.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses tied to a job, such as lost use of a room, a hotel stay or lost income. Our total liability for any job is limited to what you paid us for that job.
We also aren't responsible for conditions that were there before we started, like hidden mold, rot or old wiring, though we'll tell you when we see them. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Using this website
The information on this site is general and isn't a replacement for an on-site look at your house. We try to keep it accurate, but it can fall out of date, so rely on your written estimate for your job.
The text and photos on this site belong to Reliable Kennewick Insulation Services, so please don't copy them for commercial use without asking. Any links to outside sites are there for your convenience, and we don't control what those sites say or do.
If we disagree
Call us first, because most problems get sorted out with a phone call or a visit back to the house. If that doesn't settle it, we both agree to try mediation in Benton County, Washington, before going to court, unless the claim belongs in small claims court.
Which state's law applies
These terms and the work we do are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, and any court case goes to the courts serving Benton County, Washington. That includes jobs we do in Hermiston and Umatilla, Oregon, except where Oregon law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and changes apply from the day they're posted on this page. They don't change the terms of a job you've already signed for.
